Network World hosts sponsored content pages, or microsites, that are paid for by Partner Sponsors at nwfusionpartners.com. These microsites are designed to provide high-quality, educational information that we believe will be of interest to you. We clearly identify these pages, and the content on the pages, so that you know what area of the site you're visiting and what kind of content you are viewing. The sponsored content pages are previewed and fact-checked by the Network World staff before being uploaded. In some cases, the content is created by Network World. We accept sponsorships only from trusted, reputable companies. We make every attempt that these sponsored educational areas are held to the same high standards as Network World content at NWFusion.com. We will never knowingly publish any information we believe to be erroneous or misleading.

Your Personal Information
Network World will not collect any personal information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information. For example, registering by providing basic demographic information allows you to browse and download standard content across the Partner site. When you register, you will automatically be entered to receive a custom email newsletter. You can also sign up to receive other offers and information from Network World. If you sign up to receive the offers but later decide you don't want them, follow this link (Unsubscribe) to unsubscribe to any offers and mailings.

To unsubscribe to the email newsletter, follow the instructions at the end of the newsletter or click here.

Cookies
We use a feature of your Web browser to send your computer a "cookie," a small data file that's stored on your hard drive. We do not and cannot use cookies to retrieve personal information from your computer. Network World uses persistent cookies to link visitors to registration and clickstream (your experience at the microsite) information that allows the system to confirm a user's identity and access level on the site, especially as it pertains to preferred content. Network World also uses that information to track service selections, deliver specific content, and save passwords to eliminate logging in each time a user visits the site. A password is encrypted within the persistent cookie and cannot be accessed by outside parties. A visitor may choose to reject a persistent cookie and use their login password each time they visit and/or select a service that requires authentication.

What information does Network World collect?
Network World collects data supplied by visitors through registration, polls, surveys, and contests, as well as information gathered from visitors via our server log. That information lets us better tailor our content to user interests and help our Partner Sponsors better understand the audience they are reaching. We are firmly committed to identifying whether site content is created by an editorial contributor, a user, or a Partner Sponsor.

Content at nwfusionpartners.com can be divided into two categories: Standard and Preferred. Each of these may be in the form of editorial, white papers, webcasts, analyst reports, survey results, flash, video and audio demonstrations, etc. Standard content is defined as qualified, yet easily attainable information at either Partner Sponsor's websites, Network World (both print and online) and perhaps at other third party websites. Our goal with standard content is to provide a highly targeted, best-of-breed base of information in one location for our Partner(s). To access standard content, we require that you provide your email address, first and last name, company, title, street address, city, state, zip/postal code, country, and phone number.

Preferred content is defined as any content specifically written, created for and only found at the Partner Sponsor microsite at nwfusionpartners.com. Network World will either produce this content or contract out its creation to a reputable third party. Our goal with preferred content is to provide our visitors with new and unique information, whether it is a fresh perspective on particular topic, a respected analyst's viewpoint via a custom interview or a culmination of industry information into one manageable document. To access preferred content, we work with our Partner Sponsors in creating five to seven questions that ask you more detailed information about your experience as an IT professional.

IP Addresses
Our Web server automatically records a visitor's domain and IP address. We use the IP address to identify server problems and administer our Web site, and to analyze click-stream data to better understand user behavior.
